San Marzano

San Marzano Santoro Primitivo Puglia IGP

San Marzano

In 1962, 19 vine growers from San Marzano, whose families had farmed the land for generations, combined their efforts to establish “Cantine San Marzano”. Nowadays the melding of time honoured tradition and passion with contemporary techniques enables them to produce wines with distinctive varietal and regional characters.

Tasting note: San Marzano Santoro Primitivo Puglia IGP

Primitivo which is called Zinfandel in the US, is an easy grape to enjoy. Wines are jammy with low acidity and soft tannins. Black fruits and a sweet aftertaste make this dry wine very popular.
